Fr. Callistus Malieckal was a celebrated educationist who had his higher education at Loyola University in USA. He taught at Christ College, Irinjalakkuda and was the principal at Elthuruth. He excelled also as a writer and master of scholastics. As the provincial and provincial councilor, he laid strong foundations to Coimbatore Province. He also served at the Little Flower Parish in Coimbatore as its parish priest, and headed the ashrams at Irinjalakuda, Saibaba Colony, Shornur and Countempalayam. Christ Message Center, in Coimbatore, was his initiative. In the Sagar mission, he worked as vicar general of the diocese, and as mission superior. He passed way in 2003, and was buried at Irinjalakkuda.
