Fr. Joshua Chiramel was simple, service-minded, and an inspiring confrere. He served in places across the length and breadth of Kerala and in Tamilnadu with his untiring zeal. General councilor, provincial councilor of Trichur, regional superior of Coimbatore, first provincial of Preshitha Province, etc, were some of the positions he held in the congregation. Moreover, he served as prior, superior, and vicar at many ashrams. He passed away in 1998, and he was buried at Shornur.
