Eymard Uruvath was a popular retreat preacher who effectively used his musical talents to proclaim the Word of God. He was the spiritual director for several religious 314 congregations. Before moving to Coimbatore mission, he served at Koonammavu, Pulincunnu, Varantharappally, Thalore, Deva Matha Provincial House, and Azhikode ashrams, and served in various responsibilities. The positions he held included, provincial councilor, superior, rector of aspirants, rector of boarding, etc. At Coimbatore, he served as regional superior, provincial, provincial councilor, superior, and so on. Erode, Kozhinjampara, Shornur, Divyodaya, etc., were some of the centers he built up. He felt one with the poor and was kind to them. With his talent for singing, he used to adore the Blessed Sacrament, and he had a special devotion to the Holy Spirit. He passed away in 1999, and was buried at Shornur |
